I will be happy when…. stop putting off your happiness!

I will be happy when….
by Kim Blackmore, NLP & Master Coach Trainer

… when I have the partner of my dreams
… when I have lost weight
… when I have got fit
…when I have bought my new car
… when I have the money for that house
… when I have paid off the mortgage
… when I have retired
………. the list goes on!

What conditions do you place on your happiness?

Happiness is never the end goal or outcome. Happiness is an emotional state. You can choose your state at any time. If you are feeling sad or depressed, unfulfilled or unhappy; you are choosing to do so.

I know this is a large concept to get hold of. Maybe you feel a certain way and you feel you have no control over it..

Maybe you feel really sad or unhappy and then you receive some very unexpected good news and you feel happy, excited etc. It gives the impression that the way you feel changes because of outside conditions or events or experiences; this is simply untrue.

At the moment you maybe running strategies that end in you feeling bad. Perhaps you look at a photo and feel sad, see your boss and feel frustrated, see a conference room full of people and feel nervous. These are all conditioned responses to experiences… Guess what.. you can change those conditioned responses – we will show you how.

Once you learn how to, you can choose whatever state you want and when you want it!

Self induced stress!

Experience within the NLP field has shown me that the stress people that you experience is all self-created – as it is our choice regarding HOW we respond to experiences, events and people.

Sometimes the stress we experience is created in response to how a person thinks they should be behaving or what they should be doing.

Who should you be?

What should you be doing?

What should you have?
When you have answered those questions, then answer the next question:

Who do you want to become?

What do you want to do?

What do you want to have?

If the above answers differ from the first set of answers; therein lies the stress; because at a deeper level you will have ideas of what you trying to live up to (should be, do or have) and ideas of what you really want.

Once you start working on yourself and developing the way that you think and understanding your mind works, you can easily find a way to release the stress in your life and be, do and have what you want in your life rather than what you think you should be, do or have.

Maybe you are even conflicted between what you want, what you think you should be, do or have and between what’s best.

If you want a successful coaching or therapy practice..

By Kim Blackmore—Trainer of NLP Coaching

Coaching has been taking off the UK over the past 5 years. Coaching has become incredibly popular in many domains, such as sports coaching, executive coaching and life coaching. Through teaching NLP, we teach many new NLP coaches and the biggest and most popular question is how to setup a successful coaching practice.

We also see and speak to many qualified coaches and there is a pattern of the same story; that they have great skills and yet they are unable to get their coaching practice off the ground or they are struggling to find clients or their practice is not growing.

As most people in business know, the best way to grow a business is through referral. As soon as you get one successful client on your books, you will starting creating and building your business.

Only have SUCCESSFUL clients
This may seem a little basic, however, you would be amazed at how many coaches take on clients because they need them or they sign up any client who wants coaching.

During our trainings in NLP Coaching, we teach people to say no! We teach NLP coaches how to recognize whether or not a client will be successful. It’s very interesting to notice, that, just because a client is paying for Coaching, it does not mean that
they will be successful. Only, take on clients that will listen to your instructions during coaching, who really wants to be
coached and is willing to do “anything” to be successful.

Develop Yourself First
Develop yourself so that you can get the best from your clients. If you haven’t developed yourself and train in the best coaching skills, then don’t expect your client to develop themselves or be successful.

Learn how to present and sell or make it easy for clients to buy..
The UK’s top coaches know how to present and speak in public. They know how to entrance audiences and get everyone listening and they know how to make their presentations relevant.

If you want a successful coaching practice, then learn how to sell or make it easy for people to buy from you. Remember, though, all the selling skills in the world will not help someone they doesn’t believe in themselves or their service. Or a coach that has an abreaction to selling their services.

Coaching Fees & Successful Clients
If you are charging £50 for a coaching session, then expect £50 worth of results from your client— unless of course, £50 is a major amount of money to your client. If your potential client cannot see the value in coaching or thinks that your charges are too high, then they are not the client for you!

Those that see the value in coaching will pay premium prices for having the best coach. Your successful clients are investing in themselves to generate more profit/income for themselves and their businesses.

Coaches who value and believe in themselves, will charge higher premiums for their coaching sessions. Your clients want to a coach that believes in themselves, in them as a client and in their coaching skills.
